Trial

Every action, autopilot included, is free for the first 30 days after you install, with no card. Subscribing starts the fee from that day; nothing from before is billed. During the trial autopilot only asks people whose removal date falls inside it, and if the trial ends without a plan, every pending notice is withdrawn: nobody is told their seat goes when it will not.

How the fee is worked out

Team is 20% of what opsen saves you, and each saving is billed for its first 12 months only. After that it keeps saving and is never billed again. Nothing saved, nothing billed: no seats, no minimum, no platform fee.

At the start of each month opsen closes the previous one:

  1. It adds up the monthly value of every change applied through opsen in the last 12 months that is still in effect at the end of the month. In the month you subscribe, only the part of the month after you subscribed is billed; months before that never are.
  2. It bills 20% of that figure.

An organisation whose changes from the last year save $3,234 a month pays $646.80 that month and keeps $2,587.20. A seat reclaimed thirteen months ago still saves, and is no longer in the figure.

What you pay for after the first year is the new waste opsen keeps finding: idle seats from new hires, people who leave, workflows that start burning minutes. With autopilot on, that runs without anyone pressing a button.

Fee credit from referrals is taken off before the month is billed, oldest credit first, until it runs out.

What counts as saved

The monthly value of every change opsen applied that is still in effect, recorded when it is applied from the audit that found it:

Change Value
Reclaimed Copilot seat The seat's monthly price
Cancelled invitation The seat price it held
Fix pull request The CI minutes it removes, at your runner rates
Disabled dormant schedule The minutes the schedule ran each month

Each value is shown in the activity log next to the change. Only what the platform confirmed is counted: if GitHub removes three of four seats, three are priced. A change is priced from the latest audit, never from the request, and the same seat, invitation, schedule or pull request is never counted twice. Pressing an action again before the next audit changes nothing.

Open source

An organisation whose repositories are all public pays nothing, with every action included. opsen checks at every audit: the install must cover all repositories, and every one must be public. Adding a private repository moves the organisation to Team from the next audit. Personal accounts are not covered.

Paying

Settings → Plan → Upgrade to Team opens Stripe Checkout. Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal for invoices, payment method and cancellation. Settings also shows this month's estimate.

Pressing an action without a subscription takes you to the plan section of settings. Nothing is changed in GitHub.

A subscription is active from the moment Stripe confirms it to opsen, not from the moment the browser returns from checkout.
